Solane

Name: Solane

Nickname: Laney

Solane’s best friends are Niniane and Bethany, all three grew up together in a small village. Solane being the eldest, she wanted to be in charge of their little group’s adventures and has always had the desire to move somewhere far away someday. Solane sometimes proves herself as impatient and reckless and has a tendency to ignore others advice. She is sometimes aggressive when she thinks she is right and often gets into confrontations with other villagers.

Age: 17

Best friends: Bethany and Niniane

Character traits: As the oldest of the three she often assumes the role of the bored teenager who has to hang out with her young excitable friends, but deep down she dearly loves both of them. After the accident she becomes quiet and unapproachable, ashamed of the damage done to her body and her fuelling her anger and frustration at the world. One day soon after she disappears from the village after a confrontation with Bethany over her behaviour…

As Solane experiences the most change physically throughout the story I have drawn her as normal Solane as she was before the accident 

and corrupted Solane who has turned into a person that doesn't recognise her own friends anymore.

Character Design Niniane

Niniane

Name: Niniane

Nickname: Minnie

Niniane is best friends with Bethany and Solane, they grew up in neighbouring houses. She was not physically affected by the accident but feels for Bethany losing her limbs. As someone who is really good at comforting people with both her words and actions, she is in some ways her villages counsellor and even though young in age, her wisdom is admirable, often trying to calm Bethany and always giving every risky situation proper analysis.

Age: 15

Best Friends: Bethany and Solane

Character Traits: Niniane is grounded where Bethany is excited, she likes to talk things out as she insists on proper risk analysis. Her practicality has helped both Bethany and Solane out of many situations and she is always there ready to give advice and a solid plan of action. Niniane is loving and helpful to everyone she meets but sometimes her aggressive stubbornness can lead to confrontations with Bethany.

Character Design Bethany

Name: Bethany

Nickname: Taney

Bethany is a young girl from a small village, living next door to her best friends Niniane and Solane, her favourite activity is carving wooden figurines.  A horrible accident occurred in which she lost her right arm and leg, but she has substituted the missing limbs with powerful metal prostheses, whilst she is new to the abilities her new limbs offer her she shows an uncanny ability to master and upgrade her new prosthetics.

Age: 16

Character traits: Bethany is an excitable young lady with a can do attitude, originally light hearted and naïve but turned focused and motivated after the accident changed her life forever. Bethany has a habit of charging into situations without proper consideration and often has to rely on her friends to get her out of tricky circumstances.

Best Friends: Solane and Niniane
