Today's Mudbox lesson

Playing in Mudbox with masks and hair, it is very laggy though and crashes regularly. Simon also took us through Ptex textures and how they can be imported into Maya.

last weeks mudbox lesson

Simon gave us a folder of a rough-polygon bear like animal with a saddle/carrier type thing on top and asked us to sculpt it until it looks unique and interesting. Unfortunately my mudbox crashed half way through so this is a rushed version of my triceratops but it was great fun :)

Mudbox 19/1 pumpkin

Today in our Mudbox lesson Simon asked us to model a vegetable from a sphere, we had the choice of either a pepper or pumpkin, and as Simon went ahead and demonstrated how to model the pepper, I had to improvise at times. It was great fun!

First Mudbox lesson

Today we learnt how to import from maya into mudbox, add paint and stamps and import the scene back into maya. We also tried photoshop which seems very specific in the way one has to draw in the layers, but it did work in the end.
