Adaptation B New Idea

After talking to Phil on Thursday we decided that I should drop my first idea and let children do the concept part of my model to a certain topic. I decided on a German poem which goes:

A boat made of flesh floats in the sea
The mast is made of bones
In the rip cage beneath the deck
A heart with a leak is beating
In the rhythm of the waves day and night.
Where should the journey go?
Onto the next reef.
A lock of hair blows on the mast
The ship of bones floats in the sea
The oar broke long ago
It tattooed its sails
The keel is decorated with metal
And the skin hardened from storms.

Emma kindly agreed to lend me her children (and a few of her friends children too) and on Saturday we invited her Facebook friends as well, so that everyone who wants to take part has a chance. The drawings I have received so far are:

The above one was drawn by a 41 1/2 year old so might not be usable, but I really like it nonetheless!

I gave everyone on Facebook time till Friday because most had plans for the Easter weekend so I'm excited about any other concepts coming my way.

From the inspirations I have drawn two concepts so far:

I drew the upper first but then decided that I would like the ship to look bigger, so the one below happened. I will add further details like heart, tattoos and decorated metal keel soon, but I like the way the ship has elements of a viking longboat and a roman warship, which both have sails but could also be rowed, in case of no wind or coming from a different direction.
